The Sunland Winter Quarter Horse Derby winner collected her third straight win of the meet on Saturday by taking the 350 yard feature over a solid field. Under jockey Esgar Ramirez, Kool Angel swept to the front early and held off a late charge from Rylees Boy to win by a neck. The exceedingly sharp mare by First N Kool has been flawless at Sunland Park this meet for trainer Paul Jones. She sped through the distance in a quick 17.297 seconds, good for a 85 speed index.
