A familiar health organization in the Sun City is changing its name.
El Paso Mental Health and Mental Retardation will now be known as the "Emergency Health Network".
MHMR said the meaning of the medical term "retardation" has shifted, and doesn't reflect the more than 7,500 patients they treated last year.
Nine months ago, Texas Gov. Rick Perry signed the Respectful Language Bill, which requires legislation to replace "mental retardation" with the term "intellectual disability."
