A woman who robbed two local credit unions this year will serve four years in federal prison. Romelia Vargas-Garcia pleaded guilty to one count of bank robbery in a plea deal.
She held up a credit union in East El Paso in February, robbed a second credit union, and tried to rob a third. Besides the prison term, Vargas-Garcia must pay $6,000 in restitution.
