EL PASO - Police arrested nine suspected drunk drivers within 24 hours, and now they have a warning for anyone who might drink and drive.
Officers say they charged the drivers with DWI between Friday and Saturday mornings. Now they want to remind people that Texas law allows them to apply for a warrant to obtain a blood sample from a driver refusing a breath test.
In the past, El Paso Police have conducted "No Refusal Weekends." That's where a judge is already on hand, ready to sign requested warrants.
