We have some promising economic news, tonight.
The happy days are here again for U.S. auto retailers. Ford said sales were up 11 percent in 2011; General Motors' are up 13 percent; Chrysler said sales went up by a whopping 26 percent.
The Big Three American automakers are predicting even stronger sales this year.
And, the holiday season paid off for most retailers. Sales for the season grew 3.3 percent this year. Stores with the best deals did the best; they include Macy's, Nordstrom and Victoria's Secret.
