EL PASO - Walk out with the old, and walk in with the new. That's what a labyrinth at Western Hills United Methodist Church is helping people do.
Folks say they're walking around the labyrinth to make a closer connection with God and clear their minds for the New Year. Were told labyrinths were adopted by Christians as a substitute for a pilgrimage. When they're walking through it, parishioners are praying.
"I think walking the labyrinth helped me to focus on just God and turning everything over to him, and I came out with a sense of peace," Zoe Middleton said.
This is the first year the church has had the labyrinth, but they hope to make it tradition.
