A new distribution system aims to make things easier if you're in need of sandbags to prevent flooding. Last year, the bags were distributed at fire stations throughout the city but, as you'll recall, there was a shortage of sand bags. That was because there was not enough storage room at the fire stations. With the new system there are going to be five distribution places... with thousands of bags available.
"We're going to have about four different satellite stations, all around town, and at each of those satellite stations, about 10,000 bags will be there for people at one time."
There is a limit of 25 sandbags per person. They're available from June 15th through September 15th.
