EL PASO- The El Paso Convention & Visitors Bureau and the Sun Bowl Association have teamed up to sponsor an interactive contest, the Sun Bowl Photo Crawl, which will award one lucky fan a chance to receive VIP treatment at this year’s 78th Annual Hyundai Sun Bowl.
Beginning at 8:00 a.m. on Friday, December 30, participants will have exactly 12 hours to decipher a list of clues that will take them all over El Paso to take photos and participate in a variety of tasks. In order to validate their progress, participants are asked to capture themselves completing the clues using a digital camera or their smartphones. Once they have taken the photos, the participants will then upload them to the El Paso CVB’s Facebook page at www.facebook.com/visitelpaso .
The first person to successfully complete 10 of the 15 tasks will automatically win the grand prize.
Most of the visitors that come for the annual Sun Bowl are only in El Paso for a short amount of time, so the goal was to create an activity that will be both fun and engaging.
“The photo crawl will get visitors out of their hotel rooms and into our city,” said Bill Blaziek, General Manager of the El Paso CVB. “This type of activity will encourage visitors to explore El Paso, taste new foods, and interact with members of the community. We hope that by the end of their experience they’ll walk away with great memories and possibly the grand prize.”
This year’s grand prize includes two tickets to the VIP invitation-only party at the Sun Bowl’s Larry K. Durham Center, as well as two tickets to the Official Sun Bowl Tailgate Party prior to the game.
