EL PASO- The El Paso Hispanic Chamber of Commerce will be awarded a grant by Walmart this week.
The El Paso Hispanic Chamber of Commerce was awarded a State Giving Grant in the amount of $50,000 to benefit their “Women on the Frontline...In the Battlefield” program. The program is designed to develop women by increasing their personal and business development skills.
The Chamber hopes to help women who are minorities, military spouses, or armed forces veterans transitioning back into civilian life. The El Paso Hispanic Chamber of Commerce will utilize the grant funding to help participants gain employment or take advantage of entrepreneurship opportunities.
As an outstanding corporate citizen in our community, the Walmart Foundation has partnered with the El Paso Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, a recognized leader in business development, in their efforts to make a positive economic impact in the El Paso region.
