The El Paso County Commission is trying to find a way to keep El Paso's Star on the Mountian lit. Keeping the star lit year-round costs about $50,000. The majority of that money goes to leasing the land.
A local family owns the land and County Judge Anthony Cobos says he wants to meet with the family to see if they will donate the land. The commission is set to take up the issue again in two weeks.
