A man is in critical condition right now after he crashed his car in Northeast El Paso. U.S. 54 North was closed at Transmountain for six hours overnight after the SUV hit a wall and exploded.
A passenger, 24-year-old Edward Montana, suffered life-threatening injuries. We talked to a woman whose car was in the path of the SUV.
Police are charging the driver of the SUV, 22-year-old Roberto Reyes, with intoxicated assault and accident causing injury or death. His bond has been set at $70,000.
