Thousands of people will be wearing pink this Sunday at the Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure. But a girls soccer team is already sporting the color, and has been for quite some time, to raise awareness for breast cancer.
Members of the El Paso Heat have traded in their orange uniforms for pink ones. It all started back in October when their coach asked them if wanted to participate in the race. Not only did they want to participate, they wanted to show their support for the cause all the time.
If you'd like to register for the race, the girls will help out with walk up registration at Cielo Vista Mall Friday and Saturday from 10:00 a.m. To 8:00 p.m.
The race is this coming Sunday.
