EL PASO - Not everyone's waiting until tomorrow to eat turkey; the South El Paso Senior Center held a Thanksgiving luncheon today.
The city brought in a DJ for the luncheon; and provided a full thanksgiving meal for the center's members.
The center's director said some seniors would otherwise spend the holiday alone.
"We become a family to them...we're here every day. We like to have that camaraderie continue between our staff and seniors," said Carlos Barrera, Jr.
The senior center has the Thanksgiving luncheon every year.
