EL PASO - Nineteen children will get a permanent home tomorrow morning.
The children, ages 1-16, have been in state custody. According to the Family District Court, the children came into the foster-care system because they were victims of child abuse, neglect or abandonment. As soon as their parent's legal rights were terminated, they became free for adoption.
Thirteen families have opened their home to these children, and the adoption will become legal tomorrow morning at the El Paso County Courthouse.
