EL PASO- There’s nothing like a parade and in El Paso, nothing as meaningful as the Veterans Day Parade.
Young and old came out today, united by the legend and the legacy of American patriots in uniform. And many of today’s soldiers from Fort Bliss walked, too, in respect to all the military men and women who've served before them.
"It brings a whole lot back to you and then you see some of the people you served with too. For me it’s just a very proud day sir," says Thomas Rosslee Glover, Vietnam Veteran.
"Oh it's a great day; I would equate this to Thanksgiving and the Fourth of July," says Bonce Chui, Vietnam Vet.
"God bless you America and let’s keep pitching at them," says Robert Smith, Army Air Corps.
Along with the veterans who were here today and enjoyed the honors, the El Paso parade and veteran parades everywhere remember veterans who served us in war and did not return home alive.
