EL PASO- Dozens of people will be outside of the El Paso county jail tonight at a candlelight vigil showing support for an El Pasoan who claims he has been wrongly convicted of murder.
Daniel Villegas has spent the last 17 years of his life in prison for a drive by shooting in northeast El Paso.
Villegas says he was bullied by a detective into confessing the crime. Tomorrow is Villegas' final hearing that will determine whether he will get a retrial. This is the convicted killer’s last chance at freedom. The vigil will begin at 6:00 p.m. and last till around 8:00 p.m.
