EL PASO - Police have identified a woman who was hit and killed by a train last Saturday.
Investigators say Alma Leal, 27, was on the tracks around 1:30am Saturday morning when a Union Pacific train hit and killed her. The train's Conductor said he saw her, but he could not stop the train in time.
According to family members, Alma just earned a degree at Western Technical College and was working at Sierra Medical Center. She leaves behind a 3-year old daughter.
Family members say they don't know what she was doing on the tracks, and neither do police. They're still investigating, but police say there's no evidence of foul play.
