AUSTIN, TX - A middle school teacher in Austin is recovering tonight after being stabbed by a student.
Police said the teacher was stabbed once by the student, as the school day was wrapping up yesterday. The teacher called 911 for help.
Investigators have not revealed the motive behind the stabbing.
"I can confirm that a teacher was stabbed by a student at the end of the school day and the teacher was taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries,” said Florence ISD Superintendent, Dr. Karla Moyer.
Neither the teacher nor student has been identified.
