Las Cruces Police Search for Armed Kidnapper

LAS CRUCES - Las Cruces police are searching for a man who tried to kidnap a woman at gunpoint, while she was walking.

Investigators said the suspect drove up to the woman on Triviz, asked her for directions to New Mexico State University, and then pulled out a gun and told her to get in his car.

The woman ran off, then called the cops.
