EL PASO - Protestors with the group "Occupy El Paso" have pitched their tents in San Jacinto Plaza.
Demonstrators camped out overnight for the first time Tuesday. Protestors plan to camp out in shifts for the next 24 days.
A small group of protestors holding signs started gatheriing gathered in the plaza at noon Monday.
The group obtained a city permit that allows them to camp out overnight, and overrides the park's curfew from 10 p.m. to 6 a.m.
Demonstrators said they chose San Jacinto Plaza because it is right across the street from some major corporate banks.
