EL PASO – A man and woman were arrested after they stole items from a Kmart and threatened an employee with a knife.
Police say 39-year-old Luis Guzman had stolen various items from the store. As the loss prevention officer approached Guzman and identified himself as an employee of Kmart Guzman attempted to run away. The employee chased and caught Guzman. Once caught, Guzman threatened the loss prevention officer with a knife. A vehicle then drove up which was being driven by 33-year-old Autumn Collins. Guzman attempted to get into the vehicle however that is when officers arrived on the scene. Guzman and Collins were unable to flee the scene and were placed under arrest. Further investigation showed that Collins had stolen various items from the business prior to being stopped.
Guzman and Collins were both booked into the El Paso County Detention Facility. Guzman has been charged with Aggravated Robbery and Collins was charged with Theft.
