EL PASO - The City of El Paso kicked off "National Latino AIDS Awareness Day" with a soccer match.
Local organizations came together to play the game and raise awareness of HIV and AIDS among Latinos in our community. According to the El Paso Department of Public Health, there are about 1,700 people living with HIV and AIDS in the city, and the numbers continue to grow.
The city will offer free HIV testing at the Old Plantation Night Club next Friday, October 14, 2011.
