EL PASO - An El Paso man is wanted by the El Paso County Sheriff's Office for failing to show up to court after he was arrested nearly a year ago.
Sheriff's deputies arrested Thomas Alvarez in December of last year during a domestic disturbance call. The suspect's ex-wife told deputies that Alvarez threatened her and beat up her brother outside of doctor's office.
Investigators say Alvarez failed to appear for a court hearing on assault and family violence charges. He has been on the run ever since and has told law enforcement that he will not turn himself in.
Alvarez has family in El Paso and Dallas. Deputies believe he may be traveling back and forth from both cities. Anyone with information on his whereabouts is asked to call the El Paso County Sheriff's Office.
