EL PASO- University leaders held a grand opening for the new health sciences and nursing building on campus this afternoon.
The $60-million building accommodates nearly 3,000 nursing and health sciences students. It has new equipment including classrooms, research space and a simulation facility. Nursing instructors say it will make those pursuing a degree in nursing that much better.
"One of our goals is to make our nurses the best and brightest and well-skilled and give them the knowledge to be the best nurses," says Elias Vasquez, School of Nursing.
The new building is located across the university library on campus.
