Mexico is on the verge of collapse. That assessment is from the U.S. Joint Forces Command on Worldwide Security Threats.
A Joint Forces Command report says "Two large and important states bear consideration for a rapid and sudden collapse: Pakistan and Mexico."
President Bush pledged continued U.S. cooperation on narcotrafficking in Mexico, saying the United States has a responsibility to help prevent guns from moving south of the border.
President-elect Barack Obama met with Mexico's President, Monday, also promising the same support.
