EL PASO - It was an exciting day for dog owners on the west side of El Paso.
Today was the grand opening of the Westside Dog Park in District 1. City Representative
Ann Morgan Lilly, who represents the area where the new dog park stands, said the project was about four years in the making.
“It's such an exciting and positive aspect for the city and district one, and all the districts can come over here...the dogs seem to be enjoying it,” said Rep. Lilly.
Some dog owners at the event said their pets will benefit from the park.
"It's...good exercise for your dogs and you also meet people and make new friends,” said Missy Torres.
The dog park is at the Westside Community Park at 7400 High Ridge Dr.
