Crews from Extreme Makeover Home Edition have the clearance they need to to give an El Paso woman the home of her dreams.
Maria Ruiz was chosen to receive the home makeover.
Tuesday, City Council did their part to help out.
They voted to wave some $93,000 dollars in fees for the construction crew. Among the fees that were waived, $52,000 dollars for police personnel services, more than $15,000 dollars for landfill fees, nearly $3,500 dollars for on-site Firefighter and E.M.T. Services, $2,500 dollars for 24- hour a day construction inspection and $1,500 dollars for an expedited review and building permit.
Council says the show is bringing an estimated $800,000 dollars in revenue to the city over the course of just 10 days.
