LA UNION- This is the last weekend you'll be able to pick the season's freshest vegetables straight from the ground at a New Mexico farm.
La union maze opened its "U-Pick Garden" back in July. There you will find around 20 different vegetables from eggplant to different kinds of chilies and squash. If you don't want to pick the vegetables from the ground, there's a vegetable stand in the front where you can buy them.
"You’re going to be buying something that's locally grown and helps our economy and also you're gonna get a product that is tasty, that is fresh and that is healthy for your family," says owner Lucy Sondgeroth.
This is the second year for the U-Pick Garden. The price of the vegetables starts at 75 cents a pound. By the way, next week, La Union Maze is opening its Mayan calendar maze.
