The Diablos finished up a horrible season with a big victory in the season finale, 14-2 over Wichita. El Paso finishes the season 37-63, last place in the South Division of the American Association of Professional Baseball.
The Diablos put five runs on the board in the first and never looked back in their 14-2 win over Wichita. El Paso racked up 21 hits, including three from RF Nelson Teilon, who doubled twice in five at-bats with two runs and two RBI. Ten Diablos batters scored at least one run, with Teilon leading four players who scored two times each. At the plate for Wichita, Juan Richardson singled in both of the team's runs in the seventh, his only hit of the contest. Despite the loss, Wichita sealed the Central Division crown in the regular season's last day when St. Paul defeated Gary SouthShore earlier in the night.
