EL PASO - Summer is officially over for thousands of students in the El Paso Independent School District.
They head back to school tomorrow.
Parents have been busy this weekend buying new clothes and school supplies tax-free.
The tax free weekend started on Friday and ended today. The average shopper saved about 8 dollars for every hundred dollars they spent.
The tax break only applied to certain items like clothes, school supplies and some electronics. And stores at Cielo Vista Mall say the turnout couldn't have been better.
The tax free weekend is held every year by the state of Texas.
