Two Las Cruces Police officers are on administrative leave after shooting an armed suspect, said Sgt. Kiri Daines in a news release.
Officers arrived at a home in the 3000 block of Petunia St. around 4 p.m. after being called out to a domestic dispute, said Daines.
The armed suspect reportedly confronted the officers, said Daines, and that's when the suspect was shot and killed, said Daines.
A multi-agency investigation team is looking into the shooting, said Daines.
According to Daines, the officers had no choice but to use deadly force, as opposed to other force alernatives.
