Across the borderland tomorrow, high school football teams will officially begin the 2011 season beginning with 2-a-day practices. Gone are Spring practices, 7-on-7 passing camps, summer conditioning drills. The 2011 season begins with a clean slate. Everyone is undefeated and everyone has dreams of winning that District Championship.
Americas High School runningback Jack Fields is one of the top prep football players in the area and he says he is ready for a big senior year.
"We're just trying to go out there and translate what we've done in Spring Football and off season workouts and just translate that to the field. We've been working hard, hitting the weight room and trying to go out there prove that we really are one of the top teams in the city. Not only the top teams in the city but in our region," said Fields.
Week one of the 2011 High School football regular season begins in three weeks.
