EL PASO - A car show to help a little boy suffering from cancer was held in Northeast El Paso Sunday.
Proceeds go to help pay medical bills for a 3-year-old boy named Benny, who is at a San Antonio hospital, about to go through his second bone marrow transplant. Benny was diagnosed with Leukemia when he was just 6 months old.
A local group called “Team Evolution put on the carshow at Carmike Theaters today and organizers were amazed by how many people showed up to support Benny.
"It's awesome to see all these people come together to raise money for a good cause. They're trying to help and it's awesome,” said Alicia Medellin.
Team Evolution holds car shows for other families in need, whether to help cover medical costs or funeral expenses.
