A downtown Las Cruces bank was robbed Friday afternoon.
Police say a man walked into the Bank of the Southwest at 605 Water St., threatened a teller with a handgun, demanded some cash and got away.
The suspect was described as a Hispanic, between 5'7" and 6ft. tall and was wearing a brown jacket and a black beanie-type ski mask.
If you know anything about this robbery, call Las Cruces Crime Stoppers at (575) 526-8000 or at 1-800-897-2746.
According to NewsChannel 9 archives, this is the second time the bank has been robbed within two years.
As we reported back in June 2008, investigators said two men walked into the same bank and robbed it at gunpoint.
They were never arrested.
