LAS CRUCES- Las Cruces Crime Stoppers is offering a $1,000 reward for information that leads to the arrest of a man who assaulted and stole personal property from a woman who was walking her dog Tuesday evening.
Shortly before 10 p.m. on Tuesday, July 26, Las Cruces Police were called to the 2300 block of east Nevada Avenue where a woman was assaulted while walking her dog. Police learned that a man approached the woman, acted as though he had a concealed weapon, and then took a watch and ring from her.
The woman was not physically injured during the confrontation.
The stolen watch was a Fossil brand with a white leather band. The ring has three hearts on the band.
The suspect is described as a white male, approximately 5-feet-8-inches tall with a stocky build. He had light facial hair and a tattoo on his left forearm. He was wearing a dark colored shirt, dark pants and a red hat.
