El Paso - - An El Paso man will serve life in prison for killing his girlfriend's daughter.
A jury convicted Francisco Javier Castaneda of murder today in the 2007 beating death of three year old Jacqueline Gonzalez.
Prosecutors say Castaneda hit the child's body in the trunk of her mother's car.
The girl's mother is set for trial in three months on charges of murder and injury to a child.
