EL PASO– The El Paso Police Department’s Safe Communities and Bassett Place Safety Town celebrate 45 years this summer.
Safety town is designed for children aged 5 and 6 who are about to start school. The program is free and covers fire safety, traffic safety, stray animal precautions, Stranger Danger and much more. Classes run in one week periods and hours 10:00 a.m. – noon. The last session of the 45th year began today.
Friday’s graduating class will mark the 315th graduating class since its inception.
