The bad economy coupled with severe weather has dealt the Salvation Army a double blow.
This holiday season, Salvation Army leaders say donations are down by 30 percent.
El Pasoans are holding on to that spare change more than every these days.
Plus, the winter weather has prevented all the bell ringers from standing outside in the cold.
The Salvation Army is hopeful they'll pull through this season, and won't face any more severe weather setbacks.
The Kettle Campaign ends Christmas Eve.
