EL PASO - Just in case the fire does cause rolling blackouts, several organizations, like the Salvation Army, are ready.
The Red Cross and Salvation Army are just a few agencies on stand-by, if you find yourself without the necessities.
Salvation Army director John Martin says they can house up to 130 people a night. And they also have a mobile kitchen ready to go, if the power goes out.
"We are also offering shelter during the day, if somebody just gets too hot, they lose their power, they're more than welcome to come in here, hang out with us, have a meal, have access to the restrooms and the showers, have a big glass of water, just to sort of cool off," Martin said.
The Salvation Army is located at 4300 East Paisano Drive, right across from the zoo.
