LAS CRUCES- Las Cruces Police will be conducting two sobriety checkpoints within city limits between June 2 and June 13.
LCPD’s sobriety checkpoints are intended to reduce and eliminate the number of motorists who drive while intoxicated. Additional enforcement activities conducted this month by LCPD will include saturation, underage and party patrols.
Residents of Dona Ana County can take advantage of Project HOME (Helping Others Make it home Every time), an initiative of the local DWI Program. For a minimal fee Project HOME offers a safe ride home to anyone who may have consumed too much alcohol.
Project HOME is available Fridays, Saturdays and holidays between the hours of 5:30 p.m. and 3 a.m. For information call (575) 524-TAXI (8294).
