Strong upper level system brought bouts of rain and snow through the Borderland last several days. Areas of rain began on Friday November 27th with periods of storms off and on through Monday November 30th. For many areas, rain change to snow and cold air raced into the region behind a wintry cold front yesterday. Here are some Snow Totals: El Paso International Airport 5.5" Holloman AFB 2.0" 5 Miles West of Cloudcroft, NM 7.5" Sunspot, NM 9.3" 7 Miles Southeast of Las Cruces, NM 1.5" 2 Miles Southeast of Cloudcroft, NM 20.0" 20 Miles East of Sierra Blanca, TX 12.0" Snow came to an end yesterday afternoon and skies cleared out for the Borderland. A much more quiet weather pattern takes over the rest of the week for the region.
