El Paso- A UTEP student faces up to ten years in prison after pleading guilty to child porn charges.
26-year-old Luis Enriquez-Alonso, a Mexican citizen residing in El Paso, pleaded guilty to one count of possession of child pornography.
On Feburary 18, federal agents searched Enriquez-Alonso’s apartment and recovered two computers belonging to Enriquez-Alonso which revealed more than 5,400 images and 128 videos depicting child pornography.
Enriquez-Alonso admitted that he used two individual Internet Protocol (IP) addresses-one at home, the other at the university-to download child pornography.
Enriquez-Alonso remains in federal custody pending sentencing which is scheduled for July 20.
