EL PASO - Crews have started to tear down the vacant apartment complex that was gutted by a massive fire last night.
The complex is on the 900 block of N. Mesa.
Police still have N. Mesa closed between Rio Grande and Montana.
City Building inspectors told us transients are known to stay inside the vacant building. As of right now it's unclear how the fire started.
The building is so unstable fire Investigators haven't been allowed inside to check for anyone who may be trapped.
Demolition is expected to start around 1 p.m.
