300,000 people are expected to line the streets for the sun bowl parade tomorrow morning, but News Channel Nine got a little preview.
"This is the climax of many many hours of work," said Chairman of the Parade Jim Lawrence. He's very proud of the 21 floats workers have built this year. They take these things seriously. I got scolded for shooting the Lone Ranger without his mask.
With the assistance of El Paso PD, these floats were paraded through the city on a 45 minute-trek to the beginning of the parade route. They'll stay the night in their starting position. At eight in the morning the judges will pick their favorites, just in time for that magic moment when the parade heads down Montana.
All those hours, all that work, all coming together for a memorable parade and a day to remember for those who helped make it happen.
