EL PASO - If you've ever made a trip to the Holocaust Museum, you know what a sobering experience it can be. One of their most important events will be taking place this Sunday.
In honor of Genocide Awareness Month, local Holocaust survivors will be speaking and meeting with the public. The museum says their goal isn't to just remind El Pasoans of the past, but also use those lessons to make a difference in the future.
"To present a call to action to get people to think about their personal responsibility to think about what they can do to prevent future genocides," said executive director
The event is free. It begins at 2p.m. at 715 Oregon.
