SIERRA BLANCA - A mild earthquake caused more commotion than anything else in the Borderland last night.
You may have felt the ground shaking in El Paso.
The U.S. Geological Survey says the quake measured 4.3 on the Richter scale.
It was centered 34 miles southwest of Sierra Blanca and about 80 miles southeast of El Paso.
A geophysicist from the National Earthquake Information Center in Colorado says the quake hit in a remote area and there are no reports of damage.
He tells us our area has seen about five earthquakes in the past two years.
The quake is the talk of the town in the small community of Sierra Blanca. A NewsChannel 9 team is there. We will have the latest information here on ktsm.com and tonight on NewsChannel 9.
