Hollywood glamour is coming to El Paso. A Horizon venue will be transformed into a Middle Eastern paradise, featuring a couture show. This, all to benefit a foundation that was created as one little girl's dying wish.
Brian and Suezette VanGeem are putting on the charity fashion show "Diamonds Crushing Daffodils" to benefit "The Aiyana C. Hanson Foundation."
"She was a 9-year-old girl who was unfortunately diagnosed with Leukemia at the age of 9 and it was her dying wish for a foundation to be started in her name," said Brian.
The featured designer for the event -- Alejandro Aguilar. The Del Valle High graduate is excited to show his 2011 spring line.
"My couture line is going to show a soft, sensual, spiritual earth style. It's going to show an organic, natural neutral," said Aguilar.
The theme of the night is "a touch of elegance with a Middle Eastern influence."
"We're going to have a red carpet. There's going to be a backdrop for photos. There's going to be a VIP lounge and there's going to be VIP with bottle service, tables here and then a hookah lunge in the back, hundreds of people networking," said Brian.
Add to that local bands, belly dancers, palm readers, fortune tellers and snake charmers.
There are still tickets available for the "Diamonds Crushing Daffodils" show at the Jardines Arco Iris. It's happening tomorrow night from 7 p.m. to 12:00 a.m. Tickets are $30.
