Winds up to 70 miles per hour caused major damage to one woman's roof.
"I looked up and my roof had been ripped apart. The wind blew off the whole corner of my house," Gardea said.
Mara Gardea has lived in this house for 20 years and she says she's never dealt with wind like this before.
"It was about 6:30 p.m. when I heard a loud noise, and went outside. I was most worried about my dogs I thought something had fallen on them because the noise was so loud," Gardea said.
Now, Gardea is concerned that if her roof isn't fixed fast, not only could it hurt her dogs, it could hurt anyone around her house.
"What scares me is that the entire roof will get blown off. If the corner could fly off, the whole thing could fall onto the street," Gardea said.
Tuesday night wasn't any different, Gardea was scared to stay in her home until she knew it was safe.
"I got really nervous and the insurance said it'd be best for me to go to a hotel. So, I went and stayed with a friend," Gardea said.
Luckily, her insurance will be paying for the damages, but she's still hoping that strong winds like yesterday's don't come back.
