LAS CRUCES - For those whom dare to drive drunk, the Las Cruces Police Department is onto you.
LCPD has scheduled at least four sobriety checkpoints within city limits between April 29 and May 31, 2011.
Las Cruces police say in addition to the checkpoints, they will have saturation, underage and party patrols.
"The Las Cruces Police Department encourages those who plan on consuming alcoholic beverages to arrange ahead of time and use a designated driver," a LCPD press release stated.

Residents of Dona Ana County can take advantage of Project HOME (Helping Others Make it home Every time), an initiative of the local DWI Program. For a minimal fee Project HOME offers a safe ride home to anyone who may have consumed too much alcohol.
Project HOME is available Fridays, Saturdays and holidays between the hours of 5:30 p.m. and 3 a.m. For information call (575) 524-TAXI (8294).
