EL PASO - People were out and about enjoying their Easter Sunday, and there's one place in El Paso that's become an Easter destination for many families.
We caught up with families enjoying the sun and each other's company at a park in West El Paso.
"[We] fly kites and break the eggs, especially on grandpa," Miguel Ortega said.
Ortega says he got to the park early to get a good spot. That's because hundreds of families have made parks in the Sun City part of their Easter tradition.
"This has become an annual thing for us. The whole family comes here to the park, and we just play sports and have a good time," Hector Hernandez said.
There's also an alternative reason parent say they take their kids to the park. Children eat all the Easter candy and are usually on a sugar rush the entire day.
"[We] try to get them as tired as we can so that we can get some rest tonight," Ortega said.
